Freely Brand Launch

Freely, is a new brand changing how we watch TV. From the people who brought us Freeview, Freely is the first Wifi-only product in the UK allowing you to watch live free to air content on your television.

Freely commissioned us to develop a brand launch video to publish on their social channels, website and in-store. They wanted a dynamic sizzle reel to show off some of the new brand features and content. Freely came to us with a fantastically designed new brand identity from DixonBaxi. Our challenge was to develop this identity to transition between content and graphic in a seamless manor keeping the viewers engaged combining branding and content. We developed the use of the Freemoji’s in shot as well as 3D environments to host a TV showing off some of Freely’s new features, as well as a kinetic typography style.

Role – Lead Creative & Animator

My role as lead creative and animator involved developing the new Freely brand to work in a promo format creating a set of motion design guidelines and rules for the brand to take forward into future projects. Working closely with Freely, I developed a motion style and animated all the graphic elements in the video. The project involved a selection of different motion graphic elements to portray the messaging, from animated captions, animated TV Guide and EPGs to integrated ‘Freemoji’ elements ‘living’ within content.
