Ancestry Coronation AD DOOH & OOH

Ancestry came to us with a problem. They wanted to increase subscriptions and capitalise their marketing efforts around the coronation celebrations.  We were tasked with developing a creative for a TV AD and a selection of DOOH and OOH assets strategically placed around London’s Green Park and Westminster underground stations during the coronation celebrations.

Role - Lead Creative & Animator

My role as lead creative and animator on this project involved the planning and organisation of multiple deliverables. Working closely with our creative director we advised the client on the best media buy spots for maximum reach, carefully planning creative and placement of each asset. I worked closely with a team of designers, editors, and producers to develop a specially shot 30 second TV spot which informed the creative look for the whole campaign. We then developed shorter spots for full motion cross-track 48 screens, landscape LUD12s, portrait LUD6s and a full sequential escalator run. I designed, animated, and delivered all the DOOH assets as well as leading the creative and working closely with a freelance print designer to deliver: 12Sheet, 6sheet and 4sheet designs.

Final Delivery

The aim of the campaign was to stand out amongst the noise of the busy coronation celebration and deliver increased subscriptions for the client. Our designs aimed to capitalise on this. The thick green border on the Ads meant they cut through the noise and ensured brand recognition at a glance.
